Wait, I'm Not Done Yet?

After a week in Bend, I finally had to tear myself away. The city is an amazing place, and I was sad to leave it behind. Rock climbing, hiking, biking, running, and paddle boarding are just a few ways Dave and Luke (the assistant cross country coach that I stayed with later on in the week) ensured I got my butt kicked everyday that I was in town.

With less than 200 miles to the coast though, it was time to move on. Yesterday I hauled an unexpected 123 miles into Eugene to stay with Brent and Molly. Thank you Ian for working your magic and tracking down these amazing people. They gladly welcomed me into their home for the night, and gave me some shelter from the fast-approaching Oregon winter (it was 39 degrees in Bend the last night I was in town...)

Today marks my last day of riding...wait, did I just say that? 60 miles and I'll be lounging on the beach in Florence. I have a flight out of Portland on the 4th, and then I'll officially be homeward bound. It's been an incredible journey, and I can't believe it's about to end. Thank you everyone for your help and support, and check back soon for some pictures of my adventures in Bend.

See you on the east coast!
